Freeads presents Free Stuff. Connect with people in your area who are giving their stuff away… FOR FREE!
A few weeks ago when we launched the new Freeads homepage we mentioned that we had quite a few other big projects in the pipeline that we were eager to tell you about, and we’re really excited to finally be able to tell you about the first one.
Last Friday we officially launched Free Stuff! Free Stuff is a new category of the website that allows you to quickly find all the things listed on Freeads as Free. You can browse Free Stuff the same way you’d browse any other part of the website; adverts are broken down by sub-category in the same way to allow for ease of finding what you’re looking for. So we know, money is tight, right? Maybe you don’t really have the extra cash lying around to buy yourself that new little Gucci dress or those fabulous Armani shades. Don’t sweat, we get it, and after all, can you even justify spending that kind of money on clothes and accessories in the best of economic times? We’ll be honest: we can’t.

…our new homepage!
This morning we launched our homepage redesign. The new homepage has got all the same functionality to it that the old one did, but packages everything up in a fresh, new way. We’ve been working hard on it over the last few weeks and we’re really excited to finally be able to show it to you. We’d love to hear what you think, so leave us a comment and tell us if you like it as much as we do.
You know what day it is: Round-up Wednesday! These sure sneak up fast. Let’s see what’s been happening in the last week’s news.
The Daily News’ Kevin O’Sullivan tackles the issue of too many day trippers, not enough beach in his article It’s Crush Hour as Millions of Trippers Rush to the Beach. According to the article, “temperatures [nudged] a sizzling 30C, [as] record crowds of more than 340,000 descended on Bournemouth beach to enjoy the sun.”
Even though it looks like the hot part of summer is behind us now, there are still plenty of things you can do around the country to have a great time. (more…)
August was a great month here at Freeads and we wanted to share some of our good news with you.
We’re excited to share that last month we:
- Reached 2 million users for two consecutive months.
- Achieved over 21 million page views.
- Had over 50,000 ads placed.
- Averaged over 7 minutes per user per session on the site.
- Saw traffic in our Jobs category grow 60% from what it was in July.
In addition to that we were also able to achieve some pretty great things in other, perhaps more important, areas as well. (more…)
